Box Score ALBION, Mich. — The Albion men's lacrosse team defeated Wilmington, 17–8, in a non-conference matchup Saturday afternoon.
The Britons were up 5–2 after the first period, with goals credited to Cal Stearns (two), Carson Farkas, T.J. Antonino, and Mathieu Champoux with one each.
Albion stretched the lead in the second period, outscoring the Quakers 7–1 to make it 12–3 at the half. Stearns, Logan Mozingo, Luke Schuemann, and Nathan Vanderbloomer scored, while Carson Farkas added three goals in the period alone.
The Britons continued to find success offensively in the remaining periods, scoring four more goals in the third and an additional one in the fourth to keep a comfortable lead for the remainder of the contest.
Farkas led Albion with five goals on the day, while Stearns totaled three goals and an assist. Mozingo, Antonino, and Schuemann finished with two goals each. Jack Holway, Champoux, and Vanderbloomer added a goal apiece. Albion nearly doubled Wilmington in shots on net, outshooting the Quakers 48–27.
