Baseball Remains Perfect in Florida With Another Scoring Barrage vs. Roger Williams

AUBURNDALE, Fla. — The Albion scoring barrage continued.

In their fourth game during their Florida trip, the Britons notched their fourth win in a 13-10 victory over Roger Williams. Albion racked up 16 hits, and it was their fourth consecutive game scoring 10 or more runs.

It was a low scoring affair until the fifth inning when a combined six runs were scored. Facing a two-run deficit, Roger Williams piled on five runs and took a 6-2 advantage. The Britons got one back on a Carter Stahl groundout to make it 6-3.

Albion broke through in the sixth with four runs of their own. Jonjay Arreazola notched an RBI single to pull within two. Then, Max Holser hit a sacrifice fly to left to make it a one-run game. Stahl posted an RBI single to tie it, and a Grahm DeSantis groundout vaulted the Britons in front, 7-6.

They tacked on three more in the seventh on an Evan Schuster triple, Gavin White single and Stahl single to take a four-run advantage.

Roger Williams made it interesting in the eighth, plating four runs to tie the score at 10 apiece. However, Logan DeVos scored what turned out to be the game-winning run on a balk in the home half of the eighth. Stahl hit a two-RBI single later in the frame for insurance.

Tyler Murphy shut the door with a save in the ninth.

The Floridian Stahl had a career day, going 4-for-5 at the plate with five RBI. Drew Ribble also went 4-for-4 with three runs. Miles Frank got the win after throwing 0.2 innings.
