AUBURNDALE, Fla. — After a scorching hot start to their Florida trip, the Albion baseball team dropped, 4-3, to Lakeland (WI) at Lake Myrtle Park.
The Muskies struck first with a run in the second and third for a 2-0 lead. However, the Britons took the advantage in the fifth after an
Evan Schuster two-RBI double and a
Max Holser single to make it 3-2.
Lakeland got the final two runs of the game in the sixth on a sacrifice fly and RBI single.
Albion had two runners on with two outs in the seventh but could not capitalize.
Jonjay Arreazola was the only Briton to record a multi-hit game. On the mound,
Tyler Murphy pitched 3.1 innings in relief of
Jack Renner and gave up just two hits and no runs while striking out six.
