AUBURNDALE, Fla. — The Albion baseball team kept their bats hot on their second day of their Florida trip, beating Bethany 13-1 at Lake Myrtle Park.
The victory also marked head coach
Matt Rix's 100th of his career, spanning his time at Kalamazoo (2007-12) and Albion (2025-present).
Albion got on the board immediately in the first, as
Max Holser scored on a throwing error and
Logan Farmer hit an RBI groundout to give the Britons a 2-0 lead.
Holser notched a sacrifice fly in the third, and
Evan Schuster posted an RBI single in the fifth to extend the Albion lead to four.
The Bison recorded a run in the fifth, but the Britons would add three more in the sixth.
Tyler Murphy singled home a run, and two more were scored on an error and wild pitch, respectively.
Drew Ribble had an RBI single in the eighth, and Albion added their final five runs of the game in the ninth.
White led the way with three hits, while
Brendan Schultz threw eight innings and allowed just four hits and the lone run while striking out nine.
The Britons have now scored 10 or more runs in four consecutive games for the first time since 2020.
