Noah Tylutki won two CSC Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest district awards.
ALBION, Mich. — Albion interim sports information director Noah Tylutki has won two College Sports Communicators (CSC) Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest district awards in the college division.

The Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest recognizes the top writing and storytelling content in seven different categories from current 2025-26 CSC members written during the 2025 calendar year in Division I and College (Division II, III and NAIA) divisions.

Categories include athlete profile, coach/administrator profile, event coverage, general feature/blog, historical feature, season recap/preview and social justice/diversity.

Tylutki was the District 4 College Division winner in the historical feature category for his piece, Twenty-Five Years After His Death, Pete Schmidt's Multifaceted Legacy Remains highlighting former Albion head football coach Pete Schmidt's endearing legacy a quarter century following his passing. He also won the general feature/blog category for his piece, 'I Felt Like a Superstar' — Inside Men's Basketball's Unique Trip to France highlighting the Albion men's basketball team's summer trip to France and the partnership the school and town has with its French sister cities of Noisy-le-Roi and Bailly.

Additionally, Tylutki received runner-up honors in the District 4 Division I athlete profile category for his feature on Bowling Green swimmer Ava Vial when he served as strategic communications coordinator at BGSU earlier in the 2025 calendar year. In 2024, Tylutki was Division I District 4 runner-up in the historical feature and season recap/preview categories for stories written during his time with the Falcons.

CSC members in eight districts submitted nearly 500 articles throughout the seven categories, with more than 100 being honored as district winners and runner-ups. District winners advance to the national ballot, with national winners in each of the eight categories and both divisions to be announced later this month.
