Tiffin, Ohio - The Albion Women's Soccer team snaps a two game losing streak with a 2-0 victory of Heidelberg.
Claire Gorno and
Chloe Salo led the Brits with three shots each and six other Britons has two shots each.
Libby Wisniewski and
Marleigh Chapman recorded five saves for the Britons defense.
The Brits would come out and take 11 shots to the Knights three, before Micaela Holhbein would find the goal after following up a deflected PK in the 32nd minute. Both teams would trade shots before the first half would end and the Brits would lead 1-0. The Brits would outshoot the Knights 15-6 in the opening period and would allow the Knights no corner kicks.
The Knights would come out looking to score taking five shots to the Brits three, however
Eva Armbruster would would find the ball of a corner and give the Brits a 2-0 lead in the 72nd minute. The Brits defense would allow just three more shots before the final horn would sound,
The Brits outshot the Knights 19-14, with 11 of the 19 being on goal, compared to the Knights five. The Brits would also hold the Knights to no corner kicks on the night.
The Brits return to action on Saturday October 3rd and they host Adrian at 11 AM for Homecoming and the start of conference play.
