Farmington, Maine - The Britons defeated the Beavers 4-0 in the final game of their Maine trip.
The Britons came out strong, taking 14 shots, six of those being on goal, in the opening 45.
Claire Gorno would be the first Briton to find the net after a pass from Brook Zeleny in the 20th minute. The Britons defense also held strong for the first half as the Beavers had just four shots.
Coming out of half the Britons continued to be aggressive. Gorno would find the goal for a second time thanks to passes from
Chloe Salo and
Kelsi Green in the 54th minute. The Britons offense would strike again in the 57th minute after Brook Zeleny scored off the lead from
Diane Hurtado.
Ceci Irwin would cap off the 4-0 victory off a pass from Micaela Holhbein in the 88th minute.
The Britons held strong in the back field as they allowed just three shots in the second half, holding the Beavers to just seven for the game.
"This was a nice team result for us. The group bounced back in a short amount of time and played with passion today. Now we are looking forward to enjoying the rest of the trip and senior day next week" said Head Coach

The Britons return to action on Saturday September 12th at 1PM as they take on IU-South Bend in Senior Day at Alumni Field.
