Biography

One of Albion’s co-captains for the 2013 season…Albion’s starting libero in every match in 2012, she finished the season ranked third in the MIAA with a team-high 379 digs…She collected a season-best 28 digs in a five-set match against Allegheny in September and added 25 in four-set matches against Lake Forest and Oberlin. High School: Played soccer and volleyball her first year at Lakeland High School…Promoted to the varsity volleyball squad for her junior and senior seasons.

Personal: A chemistry major, she spent the summer in the lab at the University of California-Davis through the National Science Foundation’s Research for Undergraduates program..Daughter of Dan and Carol Gitre.
