ALBION – The Albion College men's soccer program's Senior Day celebration was interrupted by a strong storm that brought lightning and hail, but the Britons were rewarded for waiting to take the field in the form of a 2-1 victory over Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Alma College. It was the fourth win in five contests for the Britons who improved to 9-8-1 overall and 6-7 against league rivals.

Seniors were involved in both of Albion's goals. Senior Ben Lightner (Northville) got the Britons on the board in the eighth minute with his first goal of the season. Senior Tom Dickmann (Battle Creek/Lakeview) assisted on Matt Woster's (Canton/Salem) game-winner in the second half.

Senior goalkeeper Brian Greathouse (Dearborn) collected four saves.

Albion completes the season Nov. 2 with a 3 p.m. home match against Hope College.
