Box Score The Albion College men's soccer team only registered two shots on goal in their wet and sloppy match against Kalamazoo College on Tuesday night, but the Britons converted one of those shots into a goal and pulled out a 1-0 victory on the road for their second victory in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play.
The lone tally came in the second half at 86:49 and was an unassited goal by junior forward Jimmy Nieman (Rochester Hills/Rochester). Senior goalkeeper Brian Greathouse (Dearborn) made eight saves and earned the shutout for the Britons.
"The real story of the night was Brian Greathouse," Albion Coach Jerry Block said. "He stopped a penalty kick with seven minutes left in the game and he had four or five fanstastic saves. He won the game for us and easily was the man of the match."
Albion is back in action this Saturday at home when they take on Calvin College at home. The scheduled starting time is 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
