ALBION – Albion College's trend of playing well in Friday night Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association matches continued as it pushed Adrian College to four sets. The teams split the first two sets, but Adrian hitters Jordan Brisson and Stephanie Holloman overpowered Albion in the final two.

Albion spotted Adrian a 10-3 lead in the first set before taking two of every three points to creep within two at 14-12, 16-14, and 19-17. Albion miscues – a service error and a pair of attack errors – helped Adrian build a 22-17 lead and the Bulldogs went on to win the set 25-20.

Albion moved middle hitter Jalyn Ingalls to the antenna on slide pieces in the second set. The offense hit .300 as the Britons tied the match with a 25-17 win.

Brisson set the tone for the rest of the match by producing kills on two of the first four points of the third set. Adrian won the third, 25-12, and it closed out the match with a 25-14 win in the fourth. Brisson finished with 15 kills in 21 attacks for a .521 hitting percentage. Holloman added 13 kills and four aces.

Ingalls led all players with 17 kills. She also knocked down three blocks.
