HOLLAND, Mich. – The Albion College softball team opened the final week of the 2012 season with 12-3 and 7-2 losses to Hope College.

Jessica Koehler (Ira/Marine City West) slugged her first homerun of the season and Claire Cannon (Clinton Township/Chippewa Valley) produced a RBI single in Albion's two-run first inning in game one. The lead evaporated as Hope put up four runs in the second and it tacked on five in the third.

Alex Yaw (Birmingham/Seaholm) scored and drove in a run in game two.

Albion's 2012 will draw to a close at 3:30 p.m. Friday in a home doubleheader against Trine University.
