AURORA, Ill. – Dan Genord (Ann Arbor/Gabriel Richard) scored two goals and Tyler Kilpatrick (Rochester Hills/Rochester Adams) tacked on one in Albion College's 13-9 loss to Aurora University to finish the season atop the Britons' scoring ladder with 20 goals apiece.

Genord scored his goals in the first half, but Albion trailed 8-3 after 30 minutes of action.

Albion outscored the Spartans, 6-5, in the second half, but it never was able to take the lead. Kilpatrick scored 2:45 into the third quarter and his goal was followed by scores from Alexander Dziewit (Clarkston), Tim Urso (Novi/Detroit Catholic Central), and Joel Hedemark (Chesterfield/L'Anse Creuse North).

Jamie Kehoe's (Clinton Township/De La Salle) goal with 4 ½ minutes to play cut Albion's deficit to 11-9, but Aurora tacked on the final two scores.

Aurora controlled the match statistically, winning 20-of-25 face-offs and finishing all but two of its clearing chances. The Spartans also pounced on 46 groundballs, compared to 30 for the Britons. Dziewit and Genord collected five groundballs each for the Britons.
