ALBION, Mich. – Lauren Outwater and Halle Thom reached season-highs with 19 kills apiece, and Jalyn produced 11 kills and 5 blocks Wednesday, but it wasn't enough as Olivet College walked off the Kresge Gymnasium court with a 5-set win over the Britons. Olivet won the odd-numbered sets to take the match 25-21, 23-25, 25-17, 21-25, 15-13.

Albion raced out to a 7-1 lead and it never trailed in the second set.

Haley Gitre and Thom produced kills on consecutive points as Albion went on a 4-point run to build a 20-15 lead in the fourth set. Albion hit .306 in the set with 15 kills and 4 errors in 36 attacks.

Marisa Guile knocked down a solo block and Taylor Pringle served up an ace as Olivet scored 4 consecutive points to take a commanding 13-9 lead in the fifth set.

Albion produced an inspired defensive effort, finishing with 106 digs. Gitre led the Britons with 30, while Outwater chipped in with 19 and Thom 18.
