ANGOLA, Ind. – Albion College completed a winning week with a 2-0 victory over Trine University in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's soccer action.

Albion, now 4-6-1 in league play, trails Kalamazoo College by just three points in the chase for the final berth in the league tournament. The Britons have three contests remaining, beginning with a Tuesday home date against Alma College.

Bobby Budlong, a first-year midfielder, struck twice in a six-minute span of the first half and Kieran O'Keefe, a first-year student making just his second career start at goalkeeper, stopped one shot to gain the shutout.

Budlong sits atop Albion's scoring ladder with seven goals, and he has produced the game-winner in three of the Britons' seven victories this season. Kyle Alsheskie dished out the assist on Budlong's first goal, and Steven Lockhart assisted on the second tally.

Albion finished with a 17-9 edge in shots. Budlong finished with a team-high eight shots, placing six on goal. Charles Micunek, Andrew Prince, and Mike Tolkacz also placed shots on goal.
