DECATUR, Ill. – Haley Gitre collected 49 digs in two matches as Albion College completed its weekend trip to Millikin University for the Linda Slagell Dig for the Cure Tournament.

Transylvania (Ky.) University defeated Albion in three close sets (25-23, 26-24, 25-23). Halle Thom and Lauren Outwater combined to produce 23 of Albion's 39 kills in the contest. Thom also served up 2 aces and added a block assist.

Three Britons reached double figures in kills as Albion rallied for a 21-25, 26-24, 25-23, 25-21 victory over Dubuque. Outwater finished with 17 kills, 11 digs and a solo block. Thom contributed 14 kills, 25 digs, and a pair of block assists. Jalyn Ingalls hit .244 with 12 kills and 2 errors in 41 attacks. Ingalls also knocked down 3 block assists.

Gitre, who achieved a school-record 46 digs in Albion's Friday loss to Loras (Iowa), was placed on the all-tournament team. She was credited with 26 digs against Transylvania and 23 against Dubuque.

Albion has just a week remaining in the season. The Britons' final home match is Tuesday night against Trine University. Albion will complete the campaign Friday at Hope College.
