ALBION, Mich. – Halle Thom and Lauren Outwater produced 31 kills each as Albion College lost a pair of four-set volleyball matches at Kresge Gymnasium. Saint Mary's College defeated Albion 25-18, 21-25, 23-25, 16-25 in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association contest and Franklin College defeated Albion 22-25, 15-25, 25-20, 24-26 in a non-league contest.

Thom finished with 16 kills and Outwater 14 in the match against Saint Mary's. Albion hit .391 in the first set with 12 kills in 23 attacks, but terminating points became increasingly difficult. The Britons' hitting percentage dipped to .244 in the second set, .167 in the third, and .094 in the fourth. Caitlin McClorey did well at the net, producing three solo and two assisted blocks.

McClorey finished the day with nine blocks and Stephanie Thurner scored 12 kills and four blocks on the day.
