ANGOLA, Ind. – Kristin Nelson popped the second-best long jump in school history, Amanda Weaver achieved the school's second-best time in the 3,000 meters and Monique Langston placed in the top three in a pair of events as Albion College track & field athletes continued to compete indoors Friday night.
Nelson soared 17' 10 ¼" on her third attempt to win the event by more than three inches over an opponent from Olivet College.
Weaver completed her 3,000-meter race in 10 minutes, 27 seconds to finish more than a minute ahead of the second-place runner.
Langston posted a winning 60-meter time of 8.5 seconds and she turned in the third-best time in the 200 (29.26 seconds).
Ashley Miracle turned in the second-fastest 400-meter time (1:03.11), Megan Wickens was the runner-up in the mile (5:39.671), and the Britons received third place performances from Emily Morlock in the 3,000 meters and the 4x400 relay.
