MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Amanda Weaver finished second out of 10 runners in the 10,000-meter run as Albion College completed spring break by competing in the Rhodes College Open Meet. Weaver completed the race in 38.53.73.

Albion's top performer in the field events was Kristin Nelson. She threw the javelin 30.43 meters – the equivalent of 99 feet, 10 inches – to finish fifth out of 21 entries.

Ashley Miracle completed the 800 meters in 2:25.63, the sixth-fastest time out of 34 runners entered in the event. Victoria Sochor was the fourth runner to complete the steeplechase, crossing the finish line in 12:26.85.

Albion will continue its outdoor season Saturday with a meet at Indiana Wesleyan.
