LIVONIA, Mich. – The Albion College softball team made its northern debut Wednesday with 8-0 and 11-1 losses at Madonna University.

Albion pitcher Sarah Bucholz frustrated the Madonna hitters for the first three innings of game one. Madonna broke through with a six-run fourth inning and it tacked on two more runs in the fifth to end the game. Nicole Romain produced a pair of singles for the Britons.

Albion managed four hits in game two. Kacey Anderson laced a RBI single. Romain, Bethann Hammond, and Danielle Brenner also collected singles.

Albion will make its home debut at 3 p.m. Friday against Manchester University.
