ALBION, Mich. – Albion College tuned up for its April 3 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association softball opener with 14-1 and 13-0 losses to Manchester University at Dempsey Field.

Sarah Bucholz, Nicole Romain, and Bethann Hammond produced singles in game one. Alex Yaw drove in the run with a groundout.

Manchester pitchers Ashlea Nash and Brittany Wetzel combined to no-hit the Britons in game two. Bucholz was Albion's baserunner. She drew a one-out walk in the first inning.

Albion will square off against Alma College in a 3:30 p.m. doubleheader at Dempsey Field on April 3.
