HILLSDALE, Mich. – Amanda Weaver turned in the second-fastest 5,000 meter time in Albion College history as Briton athletes tuned up for the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Field Day by competing in the Gina Relays.
Weaver reached the finish line in 17 minutes, 50 seconds, second only to her school-record 17:38.98 established earlier in the season. Amanda Miley lowered her personal record in the event by five seconds when she crossed the finish line in 19:15. Laura Kelly dropped her personal record by more than 10 seconds when she completed the race in 19:45. Emily Morlock finished just short of breaking the 20-minute barrier coming through the finish line in 20:08.44. Megan Wickens was the final Briton to cross the finish line with a 20:25.48.
