NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Jessica Koehler slugged a two-run shot in game one, and Kacey Anderson launched a grand slam in game two for the highlights in Albion College's 9-2 and 21-4 losses to Saint Mary's College in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association softball action.

Koehler's third-inning homerun to left-center cut Albion's deficit to 4-2. Saint Mary's responded by scoring two in its half of the third and it added two more in the fourth. The Belles finished the scoring with a run in the sixth.

Two of Albion's first three batters walked in game two to set the table for Anderson's homerun. It cut Albion's deficit to 6-4. Saint Mary's scored in four of the five innings.

Nicole Romain finished the doubleheader with two hits.

Albion's league schedule continues Wednesday with a doubleheader against Kalamazoo College.
