ADRIAN, Mich. – Albion College trailed by six goals midway through the third quarter, but it gave Adrian College some nervous moments in the fourth quarter before running out of time in a 12-10 loss to the Bulldogs in the championship match of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Lacrosse Tournament.

Tom Thielman scored his third unassisted goal of the contest as Adrian took a 10-4 lead with 7:27 left in the third quarter.

Dylan Neal scored an extra-man goal and Dan Genord tacked on his first goal of the day 10 seconds later as Albion cut the deficit to 10-6 in the final minute of the quarter. Thielman answered Albion's rally with his fourth goal of the contest with 14 seconds on the clock.

Cameron Braun and Nicholas Dimaggio scored early in the fourth and Genord struck wit 5 ½ minutes to play as Albion cut the deficit to 11-9, but that was as close as the Britons would get.

Genord finished the day with two goals to finish his final season with a school-record 49 goals. Tim Urso scored Albion's first and last goals of the day.

Albion finished the finest season in the four-year varsity history of the program with an 11-6 overall record.
