Offense Stopped By Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Albion College placed six shots on goal Saturday, but Kalamazoo College goalkeeper Kellon Johnston Roper was up to the task as the Britons came away with a 4-0 loss in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's soccer contest.

Albion goalkeeper Andrew Bobowski stopped a shot by Jory Finkelberg midway through the first half, but Dylan Jolliffe pounced on the rebound to give Kalamazoo a 1-0 lead.

Kyle Hernandez, Spencer MacDonald, and Werner Roennecke tacked on second-half scores for Kalamazoo.

Albion was credited with 16 shots in the contest. Bobby Budlong and Kaileb Bowers led the way with four shots apiece and Mike Tolkacz added three.

Albion returns home Tuesday for a 4 p.m. contest against Trine University at Alumni Field.
