Box Score ALBION, Mich. – Kyle Alsheskie and Mike Tolkacz got on the score sheet and Charles Micunek led the defensive effort as the three seniors walked off the pitch for the final time as winners after Albion College gained a 4-1 result over Trine University.
Albion won three of its final four matches to finish the season 8-11 overall and 6-8 in contests against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals.
"All three seniors had a great game," Albion Coach Jerry Block said. "They deserved this result for the work, effort and perseverance they put into the program.
"They kept battling and I'm proud of the effort down the stretch," Block added.
Alsheskie assisted on the first two goals, sending the ball to Evan Schweizer in the fifth minute and to Tolkacz in the 20th. Alsheskie scored his team-best 14th goal of the season in the 51st minute. Schweizer completed the scoring in the 87th minute when he caught Trine goalkeeper Chris Stewart far off his line.
Albion first-year goalkeeper Zach Haapala made three saves.
