BLUFFTON, Ohio – Albion College lost a pair of three-set matches on the first day of the Sommer Spiketacular.

Bluffton defeated Albion 25-10, 25-12, 25-16. Jessica Konieczny knocked down seven kills to lead the Britons. She finished the match with a .300 hitting percentage.

Geneva defeated Albion 25-20, 25-19, 25-19.

Albion is scheduled to complete the tournament with Saturday matches against Heidelberg University and Denison University.
