Box Score KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Albion suffered a 1-0 setback at Kalamazoo Tuesday night, and now the challenge for the Britons becomes not letting the hangover carry over to their Saturday night contest at Hope.
Albion didn't play its best game at Kalamazoo – the Britons looked a step behind on the artificial turf – but it still had a chance to pull off the victory. Two shots clanked off the crossbar, including Colin Howard's attempt in the 73rd minute.
Kalamazoo tested Albion goalkeeper Andrew Bobowski often. Bobowski made six saves, and several Hornet attempts sent him sprawling to block the shot.
A set piece, however, was the play that sunk the Britons. Kyle Hernandez got his head on Jordan Veillette's free kick with five minutes left in regulation.
Albion and Hope are both 2-1 against league rivals and the winner will keep possession of second place in the league standings.
