HILLSDALE, Mich. – Sarah Kirchner and Angela Morrison achieved personal best performances in a pair of events to highlight Albion College's effort in the Hillsdale Tune-Up indoor meet.

A sophomore from Westland, Mich., Morrison finished fifth in the long jump with a leap of 15' 6 ¾" and sixth in the 60 meters when she reached the finish in 10.27 seconds. Rhiki Swinton finished directly behind Morrison in the long jump, reaching a season-best 15' 1 ¼".

Kirchner, also a sophomore, finished fourth in the shot put (32' 3") and eighth in the weight throw (37' 6 ¾"). Alyssa Wright placed seventh in the weight  throw (38' 7").

Also on the track, Stephanie Norwood reached the finals in the 60 meters, where she finished seventh in 8.84 seconds.

"The effort and outcomes were good for the third competition of the season," Coleman said. "Both groups are progressing well as we look toward the upcoming outdoor season."

Albion's next scheduled competition is Feb. 28 at Trine.
