Box Score GRANVILLE, Ohio – Denison University proved why its ranked 19th in the latest Division III men's lacrosse poll Wednesday night. Denison went on a 12-goal binge to pull away for an 18-6 victory over Albion in a non-league contest.
Joe Braley scored the first goal as Albion took the lead 4 ½ minutes into the contest, and he scored again as the Britons trailed 5-4 nearly five minutes into the second quarter.
Liam Rooney scored twice and tacked on an assist as Denison scored five times in four minutes to seize a 10-4 lead at halftime. Rooney added two more goals in the third as Denison extended the margin to 15-4.
Alexander Dziewit scored a goal and assisted on a goal by Cameron Braun in the fourth quarter for the Britons. Dziewit finished the night with two goals.
Albion returns home at 2 o'clock Saturday for a non-league match against Otterbein University.
