Box Score UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – John Carroll University outscored Albion College, 6-4, over the final three quarters to send the Britons to a 10-8 loss in non-league men's lacrosse action Tuesday night.
Albion stuffed the box score, finishing with a 49-32 advantage in shots, winning 14-of-22 face-offs pouncing on 31 ground balls, and finishing 12-of-13 clearing attempts.
Cameron Braun, Joe Braley, Alexander Dziewit and Brad Bogus scored as Albion forged a 4-4 tie after the first quarter.
Dziewit tacked on an unassisted goal and he dished out the assist on Bogus' goal as Albion trailed, 7-6, midway through the third quarter.
Albion had a possession to forge a tie, but Bogus' shot sailed wide. John Carroll was successful on the clear and it got a goal from Collin Rice at it led by at least two the rest of the way.
Dziewit finished the night with three goals, scoring for the final time with 1:28 left in the contest.
Kyle Formanczyk, Albion's senior goalkeeper, gobbled up 10 saves.
Albion will host Augustana (Ill.) College at 1 o'clock Saturday in its final match prior to the start of Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association action.
