ALBION, Mich. – Augustana College scored three times in a two-minute span of the fourth quarter to pull away for a 12-8 victory over Albion College in a non-league men's lacrosse contest.

Scott Davis, who led all players with five goals, started the Augustana rallied, Jared Hawkins tacked on a man-advantage goal and Kevin Gleason finished the scoring for the day.

Albion was frustrated as it kept getting close but it never gained the lead. After falling behind 4-1 midway through the second quarter, the Britons cut the deficit to a single goal four times. The last time was Tim Urso's goal that pulled the Britons within 9-8 with seven minutes left in the contest.

Zach Hubbell generated three goals for Albion. Urso produced two goals and an assist, Cameron Braun tacked on two goals and Brad Bogus chipped in with a goal and an assist.

Albion now prepares for its first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association contest of the season, a 1 o'clock Saturday home date against Adrian College.
