ANGOLA, Ind. – Angela Morrison and Maicey Peterson's senior seasons are off to a strong start.
Running in what Head Coach Lance Coleman described as a low key meet at Trine University, Morrison sailed to an indoor personal record in the triple jump (33' 10 ¾"), achieved another personal record in the 60-meter hurdles (9.86), turned in a good split on the 4x400 relay and cleared the bar at 4' 7 ¾" in the high jump.
Coleman says Peterson is way ahead of last year after establishing a first place time of 9.61 in the hurdles.
Allison Snyder, a junior, shaved 15 seconds off her personal record in the 3,000 meters. She completed her race in 10:43.47.
Nia Thomas was not far from her personal record in the long jump, sailing 16' 6".
In throwing events, McKenna Donahue, Sarah Kirchner and Abby Vogelwede hit personal best performances.
Distance runner Jessica Shaw started her indoor track & field season against better competition at Grand Valley State. She completed her 5,000-meter race in 17:40.66, breaking Albion's indoor school record by 19 seconds.
