GRAND RAPIDS – Leanne Wegley won the mile run for Albion College's top individual performance in the Aquinas College Little Meet. She completed her race in 5:26.47.
Albion also received second place finishes from Camille Sawicki with an indoor personal record in the triple jump (34' 6 ¼"), Tyra Thomas-Spratley in the 400 meters (1:04.09), and Alyssa Wright in the weight throw (43' 11").
Angela Morrison had her usual busy meet, finishing fifth in the high jump (4' 9 ¾"), sixth in the 60-meter hurdles (10.09 seconds), 10th in the 200 meters (28.36 seconds).
Not be be outdone, Nia Thomas set her personal best in the long jump at 4.95 meters, Jacquelyn Harbin and Emilee Kinney crossed the finish line hairs away from one another while the both achieved personal best times in the 60 meters. Harbin reached the finish in 8.30 seconds while Emilee Kinney was clocked in 8.31.
Albion sent some of its distance runners to Allendale for a meet at Grand Valley State University. Jessica Shaw completed the 5,000 meters in 17:51.32.
