DELAWARE, Ohio – Nia Thomas sailed 17' ½" to win the long jump Sunday as Albion College track & field athletes competed in the Marv Frye Invitational.
Albion collected 53 points to finish sixth in the team standings.
The 100 meters was one of the Britons best events as Tyra Thomas-Spratley and Emilee Kinney finished fifth and sixth, respectively. Thomas-Spratley reached the finish in 12.98 seconds, with Kinney close behind in 13.05. Angela Morrison achieved a season-best time of 13.65 in the event.
Maicey Peterson completed the 100-meter hurdles in 15.81, good for third place.
Camille Sawicki and Rhiki Swinton finished sixth and seventh, respectively, in the triple jump.
Megan Winkler ran 1:09:84 in the 400 meters, creating a new personal best while Tessa Triest competed for the first time all season, running a time of 1:12:43.
All producing personal best in the 5,000 meters were Maddy Dension (20:44:70), Taylor Anhalt (21:41:77), and Hunter Williams (21:48:50).
Albion is scheduled to travel to Adrian on Saturday for the Don Kleinow Invitational.
