ADA, Ohio – Maicey Peterson achieved the school record in the pole vault and Emilee Kinney added personal records in the sprinting events as Albion College took fourth place in the Polar Bear Invitational.
Peterson cleared 10' 4 ¼" to finish fifth, while Kinney tied for fourth in the 100 (12.78) and finished 10th in the 200 (26.65). Peterson also scored a runner-up finish in the 100 hurdles, reaching a personal best time of 15.54.
Camille Sawicki and Angela Morrison achieved personal records in the triple jump. Sawicki's jump of 35' 10 ½" was good for fourth, Morrison came in fifth at 35' ½" and Rhiki Swinton was seventh. Morrison also locked into a tie for fourth in the high jump (4' 9 ¾") and scored fifth place in the 100 hurdles (16.88).
Albion had a pair of scorers in the 400 as Alyssa Barnett was fourth (1:05.05) and Aurora Lobatos was seventh (1:07.30).
In the 1,500, Allison Snyder was sixth (5:03.70).
Albion will send a handful of distance runners to Hillsdale College for the Gina Relays on Thursday.
