Britons Bounced From MIAA WLAX Tournament

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cait Gaitley scored three goals – giving her 60 for the season – as Albion College completed the women's lacrosse season with a 15-4 loss to Calvin College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament semifinal game.

Gaitley's 60 goals are third-most in a season at Albion. Ashley Glenn tacked on 68 goals during the 2013 season, and she added 64 during the 2014 campaign.

Earlier in the day, Gaitley, Shannon Kahl and Taylor Nelson were announced as all-MIAA first team picks. Lauren Wiegand was an all-MIAA second team selection.

Cassandra Reuschlein scored Albion's first goal and the Britons trailed 3-1 with 20 minutes left in the first half.

Gaitley scored twice late in the first half as Albion trailed 8-3 at halftime.

Jenina Villabroza, Albion's first-year goalkeeper, stood tall, collecting 18 saves.

Emily Cefaratti and Kelly Pepper scored four goals apiece and Emma Verrett added three goals to lead Calvin. Cefaratti also dished out three assists.
