ALBION, Mich. – Ryan Melgar scored with 1:15 left in regulation as Kalamazoo College stunned Albion College, 1-0, in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's soccer match Saturday afternoon.

The contest pitted evenly matched teams. Kalamazoo finished with a 9-7 edge in shots, including 5-3 in shots on goal.

Dakota Clapper, Aaron Smit, and Erik Vanfossen generated the shots on goal for Albion.

Albion (4-4-2 overall and 1-4-1 against MIAA rivals) plays at home again Tuesday night against Calvin College. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Davis Athletic Complex.
