Box Score KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Albion College is on the list of the top blocking teams in Division III this season.
Albion put up the wall at the net Friday, collecting 11 blocks, in a 25-23, 25-14, 25-11 victory over North Park University.
Because of Albion's dominance at the net, North Park finished with nearly as many kills (24) as it did errors (22) and the Vikings hitting percentage was just .019.
North Park scored three in a row to take a 22-21 lead in the first set. A Vikings hitting error gave Albion a side out to tie the score at 22 and Jenna Khoury took it from there, serving three aces to give Albion the set.
Jesse Hepner terminated consecutive points as Albion gained a 13-4 lead in the second set. Hepner recorded a solo block and she assisted Hannah Miller on a block for the final two points of the set.
Kate Winter terminated two points and North Park committed three hitting errors as Albion gained an 8-2 lead in the third set. Khoury put the exclamation point on the match with her fourth ace of the night.
