Box Score ALBION, Mich. – Kenyon College spoiled the Albion College men's lacrosse home opener Saturday afternoon, taking down the Britons, 11-5.
Alec Palmer scored three goals and assisted on Jace Conley's strike as Albion led, 4-2, at the end of the first quarter.
Kenyon scored the next three, including a pair of Joe Woody, as it gained a 5-4 lead 2 ½ minutes into the third quarter.
Albion responded on Scott Shepard's goal to forge a 5-5 tie midway through the third quarter.
Kenyon scored the final six goals. Sam Humphrey scored the first two, with Nick Vitale assisting on both.
Josh Luketic, Albion's goalkeeper, collected a career-high 17 saves.
Albion will hit the road for its next four contests, starting with a March 23 date at Aurora University.
