Box Score ALBION, Mich. – Moses Jatta provided leadership on the back line, Maximilian Loria collected six saves and Jason Warras produced his first goal of the season to lift Albion College to a 1-0 result over the Milwaukee School of Engineering in non-league men's soccer action at Alumni Field.
Albion has won three in a row to climb back to .500 with a 4-4-1 record.
"I'm happy with where we are," Albion Head Coach Wytse Molenaar said. "We will have growing pains with the number of first-year student-athletes playing. But the length of growing pains is becoming less. The number of mistakes is becoming less."
Playing a little more than 24 hours after taking a 3-0 victory over Wittenberg University, Albion had enough energy to absorb the MSOE pressure after Warras scored in the 62nd minute. The Raiders had a likely goal wiped out by an offside call late in regulation.
"They were dangerous and we withstood it," Molenaar said.
Dakota Clapper got the assist on the Warras goal, holding the ball in the box and slipping a short pass to his left. Warras got his chest on the ball to tap it in the net.
Albion will complete non-league action Friday evening with a 6 p.m. start against Bluffton University at Alumni Field.

Joe and Julie Serra have given a $5 million leadership gift to launch a fundraising initiative to make two dreams a reality at Albion College. The first is a newly expanded fitness and student activity facility at the site of the current Dow Recreation and Wellness Center. The second is a new or renovated competition facility for the volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball teams that currently call Kresge Gymnasium home.
