ALBION -- A poor attacking night cost the Albion College volleyball team at an upset, falling to No. 6 Calvin University, 3-1, on Monday evening. The Britons slip to 12-6 overall, 2-2 in the MIAA.
Senior middle
Chloe Webber led the way with 14 kills and four total blocks. Sophomore
Olivia Alexander added nine kills and four blocks.
Mariah Brenz (22 assists) and
Grace VanDorn (11 assists) dished out the offense.Â
Defensively,
Jenna Khoury recorded a team-high 15 digs as
Kameron Haley added 10.
This was the first time Albion took a set from Calvin since October 23, 2015.
Calvin controlled the momentum in the match, taking advantage of Briton errors. Albion committed 17n attack errors in the match.
The Britons will travel to Alma on Wednesday for a 6:30 p.m. match.
