ALBION -- Backed by a tremendous night from
Chloe Webber, the Albion College volleyball team defeated St. Mary's College with ease,3-0, on Tuesday night. The senior middle racked up 18 kills in Albion's fifth straight win.
Sophomore setter
Mariah Brenz dished up 25 assists in the win.
Jenna Khoury (15) and
Ava Smith (11) were the only Britons in double-digit digs.
Albion controlled the tempo for the entire contest, as the Britons took the three sets by 25-12, 25-13 and 25-13 margins.
St. Mary's seemingly had no answer for the Britons, as the hosts attacked at a stout .407 clip -- including .438 in the final set.
Albion had nine service aces in the win including a game-winner off the right hand of
Kameron Haley.
The Brits improve to 17-6 overall, 5-2 in the conference.
On Friday, the Britons will play their final regular season home game of the year when they host Oberlin. Game time is slated for 7 p.m.
