ALBION -- Over the course of the week, the Albion College Esports team was in action across multiple games. Below is an update from each team's competitions:
On Tuesday, the Madden team recorded their first win of the season with players Miguel Rodriguez and Jared Council. After a first game win, Marcus Sanders dropped his last two games despite an excellent effort.
Also earlier this week, the Smash team came onto the scene with an admirable first showing, with hopes to improve in the future. These results came from the Wavedash Weekly, where there were a total of 18 entrants.
The records for those who participated consists as follows:
Kyle Hoffmeyer: A 3-2 record, placing 5th overall within the bracket.
Ezra Moore: A 2-2 record, placing 9th overall within the bracket.
Adric Mosher: A 1-2 record, tying with Ezra Moore overall at 9th place within the bracket.
The Rocket League team went 0-2 in their matches on Tuesday in the UGC Esports Fall League. The Britons are now 0-4 overall in their league and eighth in their group. These were against the University of Central Florida Academy and the Missouri State University-White.
Freshman captain Keremy Klooster and Kaitlyn Kandow led the team, scoring goals in the game.Â
On Saturday, the Rocket League team traveled to Western Michigan University, where they finished the day 0-2 and placed sixth in the bracket.Â
The upcoming week ahead brings many more contests to the Albion Esports team, and all contests will be streamed on the team's Twitch account.
