Box Score KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Nine goal games from Sam Puzevic and Jace Conley lifted the Albion College men's lacrosse team to a 25-7 win over Kalamazoo College. The Britons remain perfect in MIAA play, improving to 9-1 overall and 3-0 in the conference.
KEY STATS
Conley finished with 11 points and Puzevic had 10 on the evening. Eric Fraeyman scored four goals while picking up eight ground balls. Chad Burton picked up a game-high 11 ground balls.
Albion broke out to a 4-0 lead with a pair of goals from Fraeyman and one each by Conley and Puzevic. Two Kalamazoo goals were answered with strikes by Puzevic and Conley, giving the visitors a 6-2 lead after one.
The Britons outscored the Hornets 9-1 in the second quarter, as four of Conley's goals came in the period. In the second, Albion also got goals from Timmy Salinas, Fraeyman and Puzevic to lead 15-3 at halftime.
Albion rattled off five straight goals out of the half to extend the lead to 20-3. The Britons maintained all momentum throughout the rest of the game, securing the MIAA win with ease.
Senior Josh Luketic (3-0) made eight saves in the win.
Albion was near-perfect on the clear, going 24 of 25. They were also a perfect 3 of 3 in man-up opportunities. The Britons outshot the Hornets, 72-28.

"We knew it was not going to be easy going into their place … but I have heard the best time to take down a Hornets' nest is in the evening," said head coach Jake DeCola. "We played pretty well and had sold work from our face off specialist … We also shot the ball pretty well and if you shoot enough, you score a little."
NATION'S BEST
With 84 points on the year, Conley is tied for the lead in NCAA Division III. His 61 goals puts him second nationally. Puzevic's 53 goals is good for fourth in the nation, and his nine EMO goals are tied for second in DIII. Defenseman Joey Tatar's 41 caused turnovers continues to lead Division III. With 32 total assists, freshman Ethan Rottell is second in the nation.
