Miller, Kamali named All-MIAA

FREELAND, Mich. – In the first season of Albion College wrestling since the 1970s, the Britons saw two wrestlers named All-MIAA, as announced on Friday afternoon. Freshman Ben Kamali and junior Owen Miller were both recognized by the conference.

Kamali was the 125 recipient while Miller earned the honor at 285. Both wrestlers won their weight class at the MIAA Individual Championships at the end of January.

Kamali, a mid-season transfer, shined in his first MIAA dual, picking up a 12-6 win at Adrian. He later went 2-0 at the MIAA Individual Championships, finishing the day with one pin. In Sunday's MIAA Duals, the freshman went 3-0

Miller went 3-0 at the MIAA Individual Championships, earning a pin and gritting out a tight 3-2 decision in the semifinals. In his lone match on Sunday, the junior won his match, 4-1.

The men's wrestling team will be back in action on Feb. 25 at the NCAA Regionals, hosted by Adrian College.
