WBB falls in regular season finale

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – From the start it was tough for the Albion College women's basketball team, dropping their final regular season contest, 67-52, to Calvin University. With the loss, the Brits conclude the regular season at 18-7, 11-5.

A pair of sophomores led the way for the Britons. Daniah Beavers collected a double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 boards off the bench. Lolo Reed led Albion with 11 total points and nine rebounds. 

Calvin built a large lead early on and never looked back. The Knights shot nearly 41 percent from the floor, and led by double digits after the first. 

It was a poor shooting evening for the Brits, connecting on less than 30 percent of their shots from the floor. 

Albion committed 20 turnovers in the contest, leading to 17 points for the Knights.

On Wednesday, Albion will host the first round of the MIAA Tournament. Tip off will be at 7 p.m. A championship page with the opponent and ticketing information will be available in the coming days.
