MLAX tripped up by Ohio Wesleyan

DELAWARE, Ohio – In a high-scoring game, the Albion College men's lacrosse team found itself on the wrong end of a 22-12 loss to Ohio Wesleyan University. Albion fell behind early against one of the region's top powers and could not recover.

Jace Conley finished with a team-high six points while sophomore Brock Yabs registered five points for the Brits. Senior captain Gerald Haadsma was 20-35 from the faceoff X and picked up 13 ground balls. 

OWU led early before the Brits got on the board. Conley connected with Timmy Salinas for the only Albion goal of the first quarter, seeing the Brits trail 4-1 after one. 

Despite cutting the deficit to two goals, OWU went into halftime leading 7-3 and continued to build their lead into the second half. 

Junior Sam Puzevic scored a hat trick in the loss. 

Albion committed 33 turnovers in the game. 

Conley now has 60 points this season, with two more games before conference play begins. 

The Britons return to their home field on Saturday with another tough non conference opponent on the docket. Albion will host Aurora University for a 1 p.m. game.
