MLAX suffers setback on the road

HOLLAND, Mich. — Despite getting good looks at the goal, the Albion College men's lacrosse team could not cash in on enough chances, falling to Hope College, 18-13. 

Jace Conley and Sam Puzevic each had five points. 

Albion went on a run to close out the first half, cutting a 9-5 deficit to a 9-8 score at the half. The Brits dominated the final few minutes of the first half to carry momentum into the break. In that stretch, Albion got two goals from Puzevic and one from Timmy Salinas. 

After an evenly matched third quarter, Hope outscored Albion 5-2 in the final quarter. 

As a team, the Brits committed 21 turnovers in the contest. 

Freshman goalie Jack Erickson made 16 saves.

The Britons return to the field on Apr. 20 at home against Trine University. First face off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
