OLIVET, Mich. – Facing off against one of the league's top opponents, the Albion College men's wrestling team fell to Olivet College, 24-13. A young Albion squad saw some good things from its promising lineup.

Starting with the 184 class, Owen McDaniel gave the Brits a 4-0 advantage with a 13-4 major win. The sophomore, ranked seventh in the latest regional poll, dominated the match in its entirety, picking up an early four points for the visitors.

The Comets won 197 and 285, as they sport the No. 1 ranked wrestler in the nation in the heavyweight class (Donovan King).

At 125, freshman Cade Odrobina put together an incredible 12-5 victory. The Brits forfeited at 133, and through five weight classes, Olivet had a 15-7 lead.

Freshman Aidan Bernard won his sixth match of the season with an 8-2 decision. The 141 bout swung some momentum back in favor of the visitors.

Olivet won at 149, despite a valiant late effort from Max Honiss

Peyton Brooks battled to an impressive 13-10 win at 157. Backed by a boisterous crowd – primarily Albion men's lacrosse players – the freshman won his team-best 12th match of the season.

Olivet secured the match at 165 with a minor decision.

Albion will head to Cleveland on Saturday to participate in the Dr. Si Ostrach duals. The Brits will first wrestle Thiel College at 11 a.m., followed by St. John Fisher, Case Western Reserve and Waynesburg.
